From ‘The Speaking Tree’ in TOI, 26.08.09
Is there a God – or not?
Whether I say ‘yes’ or’ ‘no’ it does not get you any closer to reality. You believe there is God or you believe there is no God, you just believe something that you do not know. The problem is just this - you are unwilling to see that you actually do not know. Belief essentially means that you are assuming something that you do not know.
If you do not even know where Creation begins and where it ends, how do you know where the Creator is? You just believe something that you have been culturally conditioned to believe. Believing and disbelieving are fundamentally not different; it is just believing in a positive way or believing in a negative way. This will not get us any closer to reality. Belief systems started because you do not have any logical explanation for the nature of Creation, its extent, magnitude and magnificence. So, a simple child-like answer is, somebody is sitting up there and doing it. Because you are human, you think God is a big man.
We have assumed unnecessary significance about our existence here. Certain belief systems hold that the human being is created in the image of God. Such ideas have made humans show disregard for every other life from. Until the Middle Ages, people were made to believe that the Earth was the centre of the universe, the most important place in existence. Later, scientists found that the Earth is not the centre of the Universe, it is not even the centre of the solar system might eventually cease to exist. Compared to the cosmos, it will just be a tiny empty space; nothing will be missed. So we should not assume too much importance to our existence. Existence is not human centric – life and Creation is happening in more dimensions and ways than you can imagine. If you are experiencing only the physicality of Creation, you will not know the significance of life. The very source of physical creation is also within you. Your body is created from inside, so is your mind. If you begin to experience yourself as the Creator, the very source of Creation, you will live your life magically. And then you are the centre of the universe. You can either exist here as just a piece of Creation, as just a bundle of flesh and bones, or you can exist here as the very Creator. This is the choice every human being has. The choice is yours because Creation and Creator both are right here, within you. There is Creation; obviously something created it – you as a person did not create it. Since your experience is always from the context of who you are, accordingly, you try to create images of the Creator. If you see these images as stepping stones for higher possibility, it is perfectly Ok. You are a piece of Creation. You clearly know this Creation happening from with in, not from outside. So, the source of Creation is within you. You are alive, you are conscious. If you long to know and experience, now is the best time, not upon your deathbed. If you strive to transcend the limitations of the physical, the maker of the physical can not be missed. If your experience of life remains on the surface, you exist as piece of Creation. Move to the core and you become the very source of Creation.
Ms. Stella picked up the line and repeated, “Existence is not human centric – life and Creation is happening in more dimensions and ways than you can imagine.”

From ‘The Times Of India’ – Sunday edition
A Personal diary or a daily pulpit; a collaborative space or a universe of rumors attempts to define the blog probably outnumbers its roll call on the web. And 10 years down the line, it’s growing and mutating into different avatars.
Never mind the different definitions. The blogosphere is basically can be seen as a popular online venue for coffeehouse conversation in text. A decade ago, Peter Merholz jokingly spilt Jorn Barger’s nerdy term ‘weblog’ into ‘we blog’ which then simply became the ‘blog’ we know today. This happened with Even Williams launch of ‘Blogger’; web-publishing software exactly 10 years ago today, Later, Williams was to found Twitter.
But the blog has changed much from the early days. “The first blogs were text-based; there were no videos or pictures,” explains Ashish Chopra, director of communication and PR of the Indian Blog and New Media Society. “As the net bandwidth increased over the years, the content also became rich.”
Simple text has given way to photoblogs, vblogs (videos), moblogs (posts from mobiles), audio bogs, podcasts, microblogs and more. Blogs have gone from being personal diaries or opinions to first- hand accounts of breaking news stories and other matters. “The earliest bloggers wrote on technical stuff. Now the content is diverse – films, celebrity diaries, fashion, religion, cooking, marketing and politics,” adds Chopra.
India’s earliest blogs were probably posted in 2001, he says. The Indian capital’s first blogger group, Delhibloggers, was founded by Priyanka Sachar who goes by the name of Twilight Fairy. She recalls, “When I started my blog in 2003, I did not tell colleagues, just close friends. Few knew the term ‘blog’. We had to spell it out.” It was a small community and everyone knew each other. “Now, blogging is the ‘in’ thing“; she says. Many of the original bloggers have stopped – it was a hobby and they simple gave it up. “Now, it’s different; People are making a livelihood from blogging,’ says Sachar.
Ms. Stella commented, “Even till the date, Livejournal doesn’t have the feature of posting youtube directly.”

There is His image on the cover of my office diary. Perhaps I don’t pray Him everyday but close my eyes for a second before I start my work. I wonder to find so many idols in every street that I hardly believe once Hyderabad was covered by Muslims. This morning when my eyes were closed, I felt someone knocking my door, I opened it and I was amazed to find Lord Ganesha standing. I touched His feet and welcomed to my filthy room. I offered Him a chair to sit and I prefered the tile ground.
“So, how are you my Son?” He initiated looking into my eyes.
“I am good,” was my spontaneous reply.
“Son, I have come to share my grief with you.” He sighed.
“Hmm, your grief?” I could not believe my ears.
“Son, no one recognizes knowledge these days. Education has been commercial, from nursery to degree.”
“I can see that, there have been 600+ engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh, creating a World Record.” I added.
“I have never divided an area into groups to worship me. I am very sad to find that some people are asking residents taking name of two different parties.”
“Hmm….”
“Some of my children are growing up more disobedient day to day, Rakhi Sawant is not ready to listen to my single word.” He seemed utterly dissapointed.
“Hmm….”
“I need your help. Can you spread the light of knowledge among people?” He was anxious.
“Do you want me to do the marketing of your knowledge?” Withought a thought, words flew from me.
“Oh, Son. I had come with much expectation from you. But I can see, you have gone with the wind. I am leaving.”
Huushhhhh………….
There was a big blow of wind and I got up from my sleep. There was no Ganesha in my room and I was shouting, “I have not gone with the wind, I have not gone with the wind.”
Hearing my shout, Ms. Stella rushed in. I tried to appear nomal. Before she asked me what happened to me, I asked her who won the final in the ‘India Has Got Talent’. She hugged me and replied, “Dude, Orisssa Team won the Final. The Brave desreves the award.”
I snapped, “CREATION deserves the award.”

When you start watching work from Richard Burton, Woody Alen, Tony Curtis, De-Caprio, Pitt, Depp, Clooney, Pacino, Lester, Smith, Reeves, Cruise, Matt & Crowe etc, etc, certain images are formed in your conscious mind easily & respectively. Denzel Washington is fit to be a cop and Brosnan is fit to be the Bond. Pitt can be a good spoiled brat and Clooney can be dangerously cunning.
Whatsoever….
The same replica happens to me when it comes to Authors. Let’s say when I talk of Sidney Sheldon, an image floats in a circle of beautiful blondes with seductive expressions.
When I speak about Jeferry Archer, an image hangs inside me. I am not sure of the same but the portrait depicts a feeling of oneness, only one can win, one can succeed and that one comes after a long rivalry with the second.
Let’s skip John Grisham, Robin Cook, Eric Segal, Agatha Christie, Dan Brown, James Patterson and so on whose all books read Bestseller on the cover. In stead let me speak little on Aravind Adiga whose image is formed with a smile that criticizes. One has to think over that smile.
John Banville – An image that is expert at solving crosswords in the daily newspaper in minute. Straight yet complicated. A mind that perhaps can play chess better.
DBC Pierre – An image that drinks early in the morning yet looks so fresh.
J.M.Coetzee – An image that thinks straight, speaks straight. That is right and that has to be right.
Lot of other images are blurred, such as Orhan Pamuk, Albert Camus, Herman Hesse or Yann Martel. I need to read more books from them to get clear images.
Ms. Stella commented, “Truly you’ve gone mad. No doubt about it.”
Love,
Satyabrata.

Many times I ponder:
Does Writing come from Imagination?
Or it evolves with Experience?
Or is it a Skill?
Or is it a Creation?
Whatever the answer may be, when it comes to Reading, perhaps I would take that a good writing leads to a good reading which I felt in the book ‘Disgrace’ by J.M.Coetzee. The credit starts from the title till the end. As you keep on turning the pages, you find the character getting disgrced and only disgraced. No doubt, I am going to be a fan of Coetzee after ‘Slow Man’ and ‘Disgrace’.
Page 13 – “A flash of revelation and a flash of response. Like lightning. Like falling in love. Do the young still fall in love, or is that mechanism obsolete by now, unnecessary, quaint, like stream locomation? He is out of touch, out of date. Falling in love could have fallen out of fashion and come back again half a dozen times, for all he knows.” à It shows the Writing SKILL.
Page 67 – “No appeal. I am not complaining. One can’t plead guilty to charges of turpitude and expect a flood of sympathy in return. Not after a certain age. After a certain age one is simply no longer appealing and that’s that. One just has to buckle down and live out the rest of one’s life. Serve one’s time.” à This one can write from his Experience and Maturity gained in his life.
Page 71 – “How far away it all seems! I live, I have lived, I lived.” à Intelligent Writing.
Page 90 – “ One can punish a dog, it seems to me, for an offence like chewing a slipper. A dog will accept the justice of that: a beating for a chewing. But desire is another story. No animal will accept the justice of being punished for following its instincts.” à Too good, politically.
Page 98 – “ A risk to own anything: a car, a pair of shoes, a packet of cigarettes. Not enough to go around, not enough cars, shoes, cigarettes. Too many people, too few things. What there is must go into circulation, so that everyone can have a chance to be happy for a day. That is the theory; hold to the theory and to the comforts of theory. Not a human evil, just a vast circulatory system, to whose working pity and terror are irrevalent. That is how one must see life in this country: in its schematic aspect. Otherwise one could go mad. Cras, shoes, women too. There must be some niche in the system for women and what happens to them.” à Amazing Concept On Life.
Page 101 – “The clock on the wall says 5.45. He closes his good eye and slips into a swoon in which the two sisters continue to whisper together. When he opens his eye the clock still says 5.45. Is it broken? No: the minute hand jerks and comes to rest on 5.46.” à Smart thought!!
Page 112 – “Do you think that by meekly accepting what happened to you, you can set yourself apart from farmers like Ettinger? Do you think what happened here was an exam: if you come through, you get a diploma and safe conduct into the future, or a sign to paint on the door-lintel that will make the plague pass you by? That is not how vengeance works, Lucy. Vengeance is like a fire. The more it devours, the hungrier it gets.” à A Wit Dialogue!!
Page 158 – When it comes to men and sex, david, nothing surprises me any more. Maybe, for men, hating the woman makes sex more exciting. You are a man, you ought to know. When you have sex with someone strange – when you trap her, hold her down, get her under you, put all your weight on her – isn’t it a bit like killing? Pushing the knife in; exiting afterwards, leaving the body behind covered in blood – doesn’t it feel like murder, like getting away with murder?” à Hats off to Coetzee, What A Comparison!!
Page 165 – “He runs his fingers down the shaft, inverts it, runs his fingers down the shaft, over and over, in a motion that is mechanical rather than impatient.” à This is called Writing Skill.
Page 205 – ‘Yes, I agree, it is humiliating. But perhaps that is a good point to start from again. Perhaps that is what I must learn to accept. To start at ground level. With nothing. Not with nothing but. With nothing. No cards, no weapons, no property, no rights, no dignity.’
‘Like a dog.’
‘Yes, like a dog.’ à Terrific.
Ms. Stella asked, “Why Indian Auhors are unable to reflect deep?”

Oh, I have always loved Creation, Love and Wisdom. When Wisdom is God gifted (you won’t find it in everyone), Love is Mutual-Understanding, Creation is an Art – My Personal Opinion, nothing serious about it. And here I found one, notice the expression of Shekhar Kapoor, he is absolutely bewildered to find the theme going behind.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYPdZYuBwhI&feature=related
This is something New, this is somehitng Different and Absolutely The Idea Is Created. I Have No Hesitation To Say That I Am Impressed. I Wish The Team All The Very Best And Would Definitely Pray To Win The Final. Lord Krishna Bless You All!!
As Sekhar said, “For An Art, You Don’t Need Resource, You Don’t Need Prefessionalism, You Need Heart”, I would like to add that “Creation Comes From Heart”.
In This Regard I Would Like To Recollect Father’s Few Words, As Lord Krishna Said, “Mun Ja Ku Huuai Sadaya, Gyana Ta Hrudaya Udaya” (Wisdom Awakens In The Blessed).
Ms. Stella asked, “At least now will you admit that the idiot box has some advantages?”
I snapped, “When did I watch the same in TV?”
Love,
Satyabrata.

Time is just flying and it has been one month when I visited Tyda and Aarku in Vishakhapatnam. The memory is still vivid. Going outside, specifically to the nature where you can be alone with the heavens, nature and God. Then only one feels that all is as it should be and God wishes to see all of us happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As long as this beauty of the nature exists, I am certain that there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. I strongly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles. I wish, I would go out of this corporate job and filthy metro environment. I would long for freedom and fresh air. When I recollect the memories of last month’s travel into the nature and God, I feel happy, really happy. There is always a joy in nature that anyone can always recapture happiness. And whoever is happy will make others happy too. Perhaps this is Life all about. And then slowly and steadily I realize my Father’s path of life, he loves nature. And some other times I amaze how I could remember each of his details when I could not approve his rules.
Marriage bell is ringing around loud and I just want to be alone. Perhaps I can’t tell everyone everything, “Leave me in peace, leave me alone.” Who knows, the day may come when I’m left alone more than I would wish!
P.S: This blog is scribbled on account of 100th one under ‘Life’ tag in ‘Livejournal’.
Ms. Stella asked, “Is Time God or Is God Time? Both are unseen, untouched but are felt superpowerful yet.”
Love,
Sataybrata.

Noting much to say. I just take a glance on news headlines in my monitor and click on the top right small icon.
Politicians: Hoist the flags.
Top Celebrities: Jai Hind slogans on abroad.
Engineers: Another day off.
Doctors: No idea.
Bank Officers: A holiday.
Teachers & Students: Take home sweets.
Business People: Let’s see tomorrow.
And I: You guess it.
I drive on the road, look around and think, is everyone just feeling JUST KIND or anything else?
I don’t care. (who’s doing what)
I don’t need to care.
I don’t sound. (what’s going wrong in the country)
I don’t want to create sound.
Ms. Stella said, “Dhamaka is going on in the market, 30% off on blackberry mobile, 25% off on Sony Laptop, 40% off on house furniture, run and grab.”
